Pay Day Polish #3 Aqua Cool by Rimmel

This ladies and gentlemen, is Rimmel's Aqua Cool - guaranteed to brighten even the rainiest and darkest of days.

I have been coveting this for a while now and finally convinced myself to be brave and embrace the blue.

3 coats of polish does the trick for me and the nifty maxi brush allows for an easy, smooth finish.

Pay Day Polish #2 - Vixen by Revlon

After seeing this polish on ViviannaDoesMakeup I couldn't wait to get my hands on a bottle.

Vixen is a very deep berry colour, not quite black and not quite red. I've been missing this sort of shade on my nails recently as my Essie Bordeaux Polish decided to gloop up on me.

I find myself admiring my nails throughout the day with this and it's definately living up to it's name.

Revlon 570 Vixen available from Boots for £6.49.

Barry M Gelly Polish in Watermelon

Following on from my Pay Day Polish post here, as promised, I have uploaded a picture of Watermelon.

Please excuse the dodgy paint job, I quickly did them on my lunch break!

Have a good afternoon everyone :)

Pay Day Polish + New Followers!

Hi Everyone,

Firstly I'd like to welcome my first 3 followers!

Ashleigh Denny, BeautyTricks1 and Jemma!

You're all absolute darlings <3

Every pay day I like to treat myself to a new nail polish. This month I treated myself twice and bought two Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paints.

Cheeky 'ay?

After seeing these on Asos I went over to Boots and picked up Pomegranate and Watermelon. These claim to be "a highly pigmented, chip resistant formula designed to give an extra glossy, gel-like finish with a single coat."

Pomegranate - Watermelon

I agree that you only need 1 coat as the formula is slightly thicker than normal polish. The polish is very glossy especially with the sally hansen quick dry top coat that I also picked up. (Does that count as 3 pay day polishes??)
I've been wearing Pomegranate since Friday night and I'm really enjoying the colour but they're definately not chip-resistant. I'm a little disappointed as both the polish and the top coat claim to be chip resistant, but 4 of my nails have chipped since then I had to replace a whole nail as it peeled off then that nail also chipped.

Surprisingly though, this hasn't put me off using them. I don't tend to wear the same colour for long so it's not too much of a problem. The colours are beautiful and really glossy so at £3.99 I think can handle a chip here and there.

After 4 days of wear

I shall paint them with Watermelon tonight and post a photo later hopefully!

Thanks for reading.
